- Armstrong Trail – Armstrong Trail connects to the Redbank Valley Trail at the Allegheny River at MP 0, recently completed 14 more miles toward Schenley and Pittsburgh. A 690-foot flyover bridge over active rail lines will be in development in the next couple of years and will go a long way toward connecting with Pittsburgh and the Great Allegheny Passage. When the flyover is completed you will be able to ride from Brookville to Butler, a distance of over 130 miles, 150 if the spurs are traveled, which will form the 5th or 6th longest continuous trail in the United States. It will include 51 miles of the Redbank Valley Trail, part of the Armstrong Trail, the Tredway Trail, the Leechburg Connector and the Butler Freeport Community Trail.
- Erie to Pittsburgh Trail – Armstrong Trail is part of the EPT Alliance of trail systems. Redbank Valley connects at mile 0 at the Allegheny River.
- Great Allegheny Passage – Will connect to the Armstrong Trail at Pittsburgh, which will connect to the 9-11 Memorial Trail at Rockwood
- Allegheny River Trail at Clarion – Under development to connect Foxburg to Emlenton, not connecting to RVT.

- North Country Trails– Hiking Trail across Clarion and Jefferson Counties
- Baker Trail– Hiking Trail in Jefferson County which crosses and uses 4 miles of Redbank Valley Trails near Summerville to Heathville
- Butler Freeport Community Trail – 19.6 mile rail trail to the northeast of RVT, not connecting directly yet.
- Rail 66 Country Trail –http://rail-66.com Not connecting. Part of the Knox & Kane Rail Trail in northern Clarion County near SR322, Marianne, Lucinda, Leeper and Vowinckel.
- Mahoning Shadow Trail – Not connecting. 15.5 mile trail in Jefferson County from Valier to Cloe through Punxsutawney along Mahoning Creek.
- Clarion Little Toby Trail – https://www.tricountyrailstotrails.org. Not connecting. Meanders along Clarion River and Little Toby Creek near Ridgway and Brockway.
- PA Wilds Loop. Brookville Hub is working on connecting to RVT at Brookville and going Northeast to Brockway utilizing part of the 5 Bridges Trail. When completed it and RVT will form a large part of the planned 220 mile PA Wilds Loop.
